This project is made of one fake ID of the artist for each country of the world, the ID's are made to look and feel exactly like the original ones. It's a project that touches upon questions of Identity and of belonging. What does it mean to belong somewhere? what are the criteria that define where and with who you belong? is belonging something that you inherit, that is given to you? or is belonging something that you can choose and build for yourself? what has more value in terms of belonging? your personal history and attachment to a culture or the politics of citizenship? what constitutes a citizen within a community? All these questions and possibly more are questions that this project doesn't try to answer but it just raises and points out the doubts that might arise when thinking about these topics. It is up to the viewer to elaborate and possibly try to give answer to some of these questions.
